7th Standard Social Science Final Exam Preparation: Model Question Papers and Important Answers
Studying for long hours is not easy. Sometimes our mind gets tired, we feel sleepy, or get distracted by our phones or other things. But if you want to learn better and prepare well for exams, staying focused is very important.
In this blog post, let’s learn simple and useful ways to concentrate while studying for long hours. These tips are easy to follow and really work!
Our brain loves routine. When you study at the same time every day, your brain knows it’s time to focus. You don’t need to force yourself too much.
👉 For example, if you study every day from 4 PM to 6 PM, your mind will slowly get used to that time.
📌 Tip: Choose a time when you feel most fresh — morning or evening, based on your body and schedule.
Don’t try to study for 3 or 4 hours without any break. That can make you tired and lose focus. Instead, use a method called the Pomodoro Technique.
Here’s how:
Study for 25 minutes
Take a 5-minute break
After 4 rounds, take a longer 15-minute break
This keeps your brain active and prevents burnout.
🧠 Short study blocks help you remember more!
Phones are the biggest distraction! Notifications, social media, messages — they all steal your attention.
✅ What you can do:
Put your phone on airplane mode
Keep it in another room
Or use focus apps like "Forest", "Stay Focused", or "Focus To-Do"
Even 1 hour without phone can help you study more in less time!
Don’t study on the bed — it makes you sleepy! Use a proper table and chair. Sit straight so your body stays active.
🎧 If your surroundings are noisy, try soft background music or white noise (like rain sounds or nature music) to block other noise.
🌟 A clean, organized study space makes your mind feel calm and ready.
Before starting, decide what you want to complete today.
👉 For example:
Finish one chapter of science
Practice 2 math exercises
Revise 10 English words
✅ Writing small goals gives you a clear plan and a sense of achievement after finishing each one.
You feel more focused because you know exactly what to do.
When you’re studying for long hours, your brain needs fuel. Keep a bottle of water, dry fruits, or a light snack (like fruits or a sandwich) nearby.
🚶♀️ This helps you avoid getting up again and again.
Staying hydrated also keeps your brain fresh!
After each study session, take a short break. But don’t use that time to scroll social media!
Try these instead:
Do 5 minutes of stretching
Close your eyes and take deep breaths
Walk around your room
Splash water on your face
Breaks help your brain reset, so you can study again with energy.
Make your study area positive and peaceful.
🪴 A small green plant adds a calm feeling.
🖼️ Put a quote on the wall like:
"Focus brings success" or "Small steps every day"
These little things can improve your mood and keep you focused.
A messy desk means a messy mind. Before studying, remove all things you don’t need.
📎 Keep only:
Your books and notebook
Pens, pencil, eraser
Water bottle
🧠 A clean space makes you feel clear and ready to study.
At the end of your study time, take 5–10 minutes to revise everything you just learned. It helps you remember better.
🗂️ You can:
Read your notes again
Close your book and speak the main points
Write a small summary in your notebook
This makes your study time more powerful!
Studying for long hours doesn’t mean sitting all day without moving. It means studying smartly, with focus and balance. If you follow even a few of the above tips every day, you’ll slowly see a big improvement in your focus and memory.
💡 Start with small changes — like setting a study time or putting your phone away. Add more tips slowly. Within a week, you’ll feel more focused and confident while studying.
📢 Now it’s your turn!
