Independence Day Speech 2025 – 15 August Celebration Respected Principal, teachers, honored guests, and my dear friends, A very warm good morning to everyone present here. Today, we have gathered to celebrate one of the most significant days in the history of our nation – Independence Day . Every year, on 15 August , the tricolor waves high in the sky, and the air fills with the echoes of “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram.” It is a day that reminds us of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and the long struggle that gave us the gift of freedom. On this day in 1947 , after nearly 200 years of British colonial rule, India woke up to a new dawn of independence. Our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru , addressed the nation with his historic “Tryst with Destiny” speech, marking the birth of a free India.
