We feel very lucky that we are born in a free country. Our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose, and many others fought for our freedom. They spent their lives for the happiness of the people of India. Because of their hard work and courage, we are able to live freely today. We should always remember their sacrifices and follow their teachings. Independence Day is a day to show our love for our nation. Today, we have gathered to celebrate one of the most significant days in the history of our nation – Independence Day . Every year, on 15 August , the tricolor waves high in the sky, and the air fills with the echoes of “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram.” It is a day that reminds us of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and the long struggle that gave us the gift of freedom.
